The successful candidate will also work closely with our engineering and project management departments. Job Description: This is a junior position that offers potential candidates the opportunity to develop their skills as part of a committed and experienced team of engineers. Key responsibilities: manufacture and repair of specialist cables and electronic repair of broadcast equipment prototype design and small-scale production of custom audio, video and RF systems documentation of repair and manufacturing procedures Essential Skills: basic electrical and electronics knowledge basic mechanical skills and ability with hand tools ability to solve problems systematically ability to document progress and results interest in learning with positive ‘can-do’ attitude commitment to achieve goals helpful and patient teamworking attitude basic computer skills including Word/Excel Beneficial Skills: basic understanding of electronic components and wiring diagrams CAD and 3D printing experience (Solidworks workstation will be provided) basic IT, scripting and programming skills experience in broadcast or live events environment experience in basic PCB design experience in making audio, video and RF cables experience with audio, video and RF equipment PAT testing experience interest in cameras/photography, sound or RF Reports to: Workshop Manager with additional reporting to Technical Director Location: Based at the EMG Connectivity office in Dartford, Kent. Job Types: Full-time – Permanent Contract Salary: TBD – Based on experience levels Hours: Our normal office hours are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday but the role will require a flexible approach with some weekend and out of normal office hours work required to deliver projects.
