Fundraising Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager (Corporate / Major Gifts), Charity c£40k
A fantastic opportunity for either an experienced Major Gifts / Major Donor / Philanthropy and/or Corporate Partnerships Development Manager OR an experienced Sales / Marketing Business Development Manager looking to transition to the Charity Sector. This pivotal role within this fabulous and well-supported charity aims to further their work in the Greater London and environs community. This position will work alongside an experienced Head of Partnerships and Fundraising Director to lead in developing and delivering the charity’s Major Gifts and Corporate pipeline as part of their strategy, where fundraising from Corporate Donors and High Net Worth Individual donors and Philanthropists is essential. This role is all about relationships. The successful candidate will develop and nurture relationships to grow the pipeline, ensuring that key supporters are engaged with and support the charity’s ongoing work.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
1. Work with the Head of Partnerships / Philanthropy to develop and build upon supporter stewardship strategies with existing partners.
2. Develop new business approaches to secure fresh income from Corporate Partnerships and Major Donors.
3. Manage and grow a portfolio of donors in varying stages of the donor cycle.
4. Build compelling proposals aligned to the donor’s interests and matching funding needs within the organisation.
5. Further develop the breadth and depth of the current major gifts and corporate partnerships pipeline by building and expanding relationships.
6. Engage Trustees and the Executive to assist in relationship building.
7. Develop donor development plans for top prospects.
8. Provide excellent customer service and stewardship to ensure exceptional and consistent cultivation and management for all major donors and prospective supporters.
9. Make written and face-to-face asks for 5, 6, and 7-figure single and multi-year gifts.
10. Keep supporters updated on the charity’s accomplishments and successes.
11. Work outside of regular office hours and travel occasionally within the UK.
Qualifications:
Ideally, you will have a degree and/or professional qualification within a relevant area, with a demonstrable track record of soliciting and closing significant gifts from Philanthropists, HNWI, and UHNWI to achieve a high level of income and engagement, delivering against ambitious targets. You should be able to communicate complex information to a lay audience and influence multiple parties through written proposals, reports, and presentations. Good project management skills and experience in producing high-quality, imaginative, and compelling presentations, proposals, letters, and pitches are essential. An innovative, enthusiastic approach and the ability to develop new strategies in order to drive results are also important. You should be highly organised, self-motivated, and equally at home working collaboratively or independently with accountability for actions and decisions.
The role is offered as hybrid remote working / office-based, with a firm policy of 3 days / week in their offices in North London, with a salary c£35,000 up to c£40,000 + a great benefits package (may be some flexibility).
