Job: C# Developer (Server Side, Asynchronous Platform) Employment Type: Contract via Quanteam UK Duration: 6 months minimum with further extensions possible Day Rate: £650 - £800 umbrella (inside IR35) Working Arrangement: travel to office can be required - Hybrid working JOB OVERVIEW The FX eTrading group is a global team providing services directly to the global FX business within the largest bank in the Euro zone by deposits. The team is concerned with the development, support and release of solutions providing discreet functionality, driven by the global FX business. The systems are used globally with major server hubs in London, New York, Singapore, and Tokyo. The project is situated within the FX eTrading group but crosses business lines with other eTrading systems, notably for interest rates products. Platform Description: Nighthawk is an interest-rate market builder and cross-business-line pricer and quoter. It is the strategic pricing platform for forward interest rate product pricing, replacing the spreadsheets traditionally used by traders to build the interest rate markets used for pricing forward FX and interest-rate products. It allows traders to view and control the market-building process and the associated calculations and data they need to do this. It builds an interest-rate market which used for forward FX and other interest-rate products for internal and external use, while providing analytics and contributions to other systems within the bank. JOB DESCRIPTION: Based in London and part of the FX IT eTrading development team, this role involves working closely with the research (quant) team, trader tools (GUI) team and front office as part of an expanding team to: Maintain and enhance the server side of the Nighthawk platform Be part of the whole development lifecycle including analysis, architecture/design, development, testing and 2nd level support MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate must have the following skills and qualities: Strong server-side C# development skills Experience with low-latency, high-availability asynchronous systems Flexible approach to dealing with challenges Motivated to work directly with traders and research Strong communication and design skills Proven ability to deliver front office systems The following would be helpful: Experience in C++, Java and Python Experience of the FX business and interest rate products. Experience of messaging-based data distribution, particularly TIBCO Rendezvous
