Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting exclusively for our Halesowen client, who are seeking a Purchasing Team Lead to join their busy and successful head office. This is an integral role within the organisation, with one direct report and they are offering a highly competitive salary and package.
Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 2:30pm.
Duties and tasks will include:
* Oversight of the PO raising process, supported by one other Purchaser, but also raising PO's yourself for certain suppliers and categories of spend.
* Working with key suppliers to maintain lead times in Business Central.
* Management of SKU's, monitoring usage and SKU criteria to add and remove SKU's as necessary. Running of Slow Moving Inventory reports.
* Review of different product category ROP's and ROQ's to manage the thresholds but to also drive the purchasing demand into Purchase Requisitions.
* Management of placing and draw down of purchase blanket orders and securing of material to support blanket sales orders.
* Supplier quotes for special orders and for underlying purchases.
Candidates welcome to apply for the role will have the following:
* 5+ years experience working in Purchasing roles.
* Experience of running reports from the ERP system.
* Comfortable working with manipulating/analysing data in Excel (using Pivots etc.).
* Flexible approach to tasks undertaken.
* Excellent standards and good attention to detail.
* Great communication skills and ability to work well in a team and with wider functions.
