About The Role
The position of Senior Installation Operative holds responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of contracts alongside planning input on contracts within Sunbelt Rentals Engineered Access. This will include the operation of vehicles up to Class 2, management of site safety and the operatives, management of the customer, reporting of performance, and management of quality. The Senior Installation Operative will represent the company on site and take ownership and responsibility for all site works. They will need to adopt a positive approach in the face of site issues and ensure they ‘think outside the box’ when encountering difficulties.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
1. Liaise with customers to ensure operational understanding and delivery to expectations.
2. Management of build schedules on landmark contracts leading to improved planning, cost control, and consistency.
3. Site supervision, motivation, and management of employed and agency workforce.
4. Delivery of site visits, data capture, and communication.
5. Availability for Call Out work over a designated period.
6. Responsible for all aspects of the assigned vehicle, including defect and damage reporting as well as associated paperwork.
7. Timely return of all contract paperwork.
8. Fulfil all site requirements with an ‘end to end’ mentality for all assigned contracts, including those with weekend days.

To succeed in the role, you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:
1. Knowledge of all Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental procedures.
2. Experience of managing changing workload priorities and working to deadlines.
3. Confident in dealing with customers and their varying requirements.
4. Technically proficient with trackway, barrier, fencing, and flooring.
5. Valid Driving Licence.
It would be advantageous to have:
1. First Aid Training.
2. CSCS/IOSH/H&S Awareness.
This role covers a wide geographical area. Flexibility and a willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays, is therefore essential.
