This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on production engineering expertise to improve manufacturing workflows, enhance productivity, and maintain operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage production engineering processes, including process improvements, efficiency enhancements, and problem-solving initiatives. Define, implement, and uphold production standards, with a focus on welding, processing, and operational equipment. Oversee the planning and coordination of production projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Provide leadership in troubleshooting production line issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime. Foster innovation in manufacturing processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to introduce new technologies, tools, and methods. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximise resource utilisation and output quality. Manage and develop the Production Engineering Team, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and external stakeholders to align production goals with business needs. Oversee the implementation of production-level engineering requirements, including testing and validation of processes and products. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards throughout production operations. Skills & Experience: Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in manufacturing/engineering. Proven experience in a production or manufacturing engineering role. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of mentoring and building high-performing teams. Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical capabilities. Professional accreditation with an industry-related body would be advantageous.
