Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Production Equipment Specialist to join our team at The Global Search Company. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth operations, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement across our production facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and Improve Plant Equipment: Lead the engineering team to maintain and improve plant equipment and machinery, minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
* Develop Preventive Maintenance Programs: Create and implement preventive maintenance programs to optimize processes, drive efficiency, and reduce costs.
* Collaborate with Production Teams: Work closely with production teams to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to enhance productivity and quality.
* Manage Capital Projects: Oversee capital projects, including new equipment installation and facility upgrades, to ensure timely completion and within budget.
* Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to food safety and equipment maintenance, protecting our company's reputation and customer trust.
* Develop Training Programs: Develop training programs to upskill engineering staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving employee engagement and retention.
* Budget Management: Manage the engineering department's budget, making informed decisions to allocate resources effectively and achieve business objectives.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field).
* Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry, demonstrating expertise in equipment maintenance and improvement.
* Knowledge: Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP, etc.) and industry best practices.
* Skillset: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in using maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office.
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum
