The post of shared Head Teacher, Innerwick Stenton Primary Schools is to serve the school communities of both Innerwick and Stenton. The schools are both small rural schools situated in the East Lothian countryside, at a distance of 8 miles apart. Both schools are non-denominational and co-educational teaching pupils from P1 – P7. Innerwick Primary School has a nursery which currently offers 1140 hours.
Stenton Primary School does not have a nursery class. The schools have active and supportive Parent Councils and both schools play a key role within their local communities, while working closely together as partner schools.

The role of the Head Teacher is, within the resources available, to conduct the affairs of both Schools to the benefit of the pupils and the communities they serve, through pursuing objectives and implementing policies set by East Lothian Council under the overall direction of the Executive Director, Education and Children's Services.
Relevant Qualifications
Full GTCS Registration is required.

In accordance with Teachers Conditions of Service (SNCT - Appendix 2.19), Teachers who commence employment with East Lothian Council after the first day of the school session will have their salary for the remainder of the school salary year (which runs from 1 August to 31 July each year), recalculated to reflect how teachers accrue leave and pay.
