Are you an experienced and dynamic leader with a passion for getting the best outcomes for children? Join our service as a Team Manager and play a pivotal role in driving an assessment and Intervention team towards excellence
About the Role:
As a Team Manager in our service, you will lead a dedicated team of up to five social workers supported by one Advanced practitioner. Your role will be to ensure the children and families of Oldham receive a high quality service to support their holistic needs and to manage risk inclusive of taking appropriate safeguarding action.
* Provide management and leadership as part of a 3-4 weekly duty cycle, providing oversight and direction at the point of referral.
* Provide high quality reflective supervision to your team on a regular basis, ensuring best practice and high standards of delivery.
* Collaborate with other teams and multi agency professionals to enhance planning and interventions children and their families.
* Monitor and evaluate service performance, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance with statutory requirements.
* To manage and provide leadership to a team of social work and social care staff, which could include staff from other agencies.
* To co-ordinate the team’s activities and ensure delivery is flexible, reliable, and responsive to the needs of Children and Young People, Carers and Families.
* To make a strategic contribution to the wider development of the Service, and ensure drive of excellent practice to achieve good outcomes from children, young people and their families.
About You:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced social work professional who:
* Holds a recognised social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
* Has substantial experience of working in children’s services, or related areas.
* Demonstrates strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
* Is committed to the support, development and retention of staff within your team and where necessary, the wider service.
* Excels in communication, problem-solving, and collaboration with a range of stakeholders.
* Is able to demonstrate an ability to meet the meet the requirements as set out in the job specification.
