Job Introduction
The London Tunnels is a mega-project and SCS uses the latest technology to collect accurate and robust data to assess performance. We need people that want to use that data to provide insight to the project team and enable effective decision making.
SCS is looking for an experienced Project Controls Engineers to support the project in the management of data, production of reports and providing insight to project management.
You will be working for the Project Control Manager in Technical Services, which is responsible for the coordination of the engineering design and associated services for the project.

Role Responsibility
* All project data held in iTWO for actual and forecast costs, quantities and earned value.
* Understand and analyse the progress and cost of all activities in the iTWO project.
* Project controls systems implementation and operation.
* Maintaining and reporting a robust forecast in iTWO.
* Maintaining and reporting earned value, quantity progress and forecasts in iTWO.
* Maintain the work breakdown structures.
* Update the performance measurement baselines.
* Provide reports on time with supported by robust data and insight that will enable decision making.
* Gather project site updates and prepare periodic progress reports.
* Monitor, interpret and advise on cashflow and budgets.
* Create monthly budget forecast updates for management.
* Ensure alignment between the various systems the project uses that support the project reports.
* Understand the contract and ensure that the reporting cycle is adhered to.
* Liaise with and assist internal and external stakeholders.
* Understand and comply with the HSSE polices.
The Ideal Candidate
Essential:
* Construction related engineering degree, as this role is working in the engineering department
* Experience in cost management apps, e.g. iTWO, Prism, Ecosys.
* Skilled at cost control and earned value analysis.
* Working knowledge of NEC contracts.
* Working knowledge of project interfaces on construction projects.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Competent user of Microsoft Office suite.
* Knowledge of the engineering and construction industry.
* An ability to effectively interpret data and provide input on business process improvement.
* As a large project with many teams in differing locations we need people who enjoy working in a variety of environments.
* A can-do attitude and the ability to get work completed to deadlines.
Desirable:
* Qualifications from NEC, iTWO, APM or a university.
* Experience in developing reports in Power BI.

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
