Permanent- £75,322 to £84,031 per annum (Scale O)
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to join us as Assistant Director High Needs Send Operations to enhance outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Norfolk and to contribute to our area ambition for every child to Flourish. The Council has made a considerable investment in our Children’s Services programme of transformation and in developing our Local First Inclusion Programme. Our practice approach is relationship-based, strengths-oriented, and outcome-focused, ensuring children are prepared to learn, build positive relationships, and receive family-based care.
In this pivotal role you’ll provide operational and strategic leadership, influencing the Norfolk SEND system to ensure comprehensive support and provision for children and their families. We have a great team here in Norfolk, so you’ll work with fantastic colleagues in Children’s Services and be a member of the Children’s Services Extended Leadership Team.
As our ideal candidate, you will have significant senior operational and strategic leadership experience – understanding local and national SEND policies, proven ability to build effective relationships across organisational boundaries and experience in developing solutions for outstanding service delivery. Critically you will hear, understand and respond to the needs of children, young people and their families, championing equality, diversity and inclusion as you go.
If you share our ambition and believe you have the experience and skills to deliver our vision, come join us on our transformation journey.
