Crossley Street Surgery is looking to recruit a part time Patient Services Administrator. You will berequired to work 20-30hrs between Monday and Friday, 7:30am to Rate of pay is£ - £ dependant on experience.

Main duties of the job
1. Offer general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors.
2. Assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
3. Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist the wider team.
4. Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies.
You must work at all times within your owncompetence and use your own judgement, knowledge and common sense in your dayto day activities.
5. Maintain and monitor the Practice appointment and AccuRx system.
6. Proactively seek to develop and maintain knowledge and skill sets required within your role.
7. Process telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations and ensure callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional.
8. Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; process and record information in accordance with Practice procedures.
9. Initiate contact with and respond to requests from patients, other team members and associated healthcare agencies and providers.
10. Promote, advise and assist patients accessing services via our online portals.

21. Ability to keep calm and professional in a fast paced environment
22. Previous administration or reception experience
23. Personable, positive and enthusiastic with a great customer focus
24. Efficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook
25. Knowledge of SystmOne would be an advantage
26. Strong communication and organisation skills
Reception
27. Providing excellent customer service at all times
28. Receiving and welcoming patients upon arrival at the surgery
29. Making appointments for patients via the telephone or face to face
30. Handling telephone, electronic and face to face queries from patients
31. Handing completed repeat prescriptions to patient and checking names and address.
32. Dealing with visit requests
33. Maintaining the reception area to a professional standard
Administration
34. To have a thorough knowledge of all Practice procedures
35. To work in accordance of written protocols
36. Filing, faxing and photocopying as requested
37. Handle specimens as per Practice protocol
38. Provide new patients with the relevant paperwork and make an appointment for a new patient check
39. Explain Practice arrangements and requirements for new and temporary patients
40. Deal with and action SystmOne tasks and notifications in a timely manner
41. Regularly check the Practice email inbox and take the appropriate action
