Social Worker - Family Support and Safeguarding Team
We have exciting vacancies in the Family Support and Safeguarding locality teams for Social Workers. Roles are available in Wisbech, Cambridge, Ely, and Huntingdon. For more information please see below.
Main Duties of the Job
We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic Social Workers who have the child's voice at the heart of everything they do to join us in our Family Support and Safeguarding Team!
We manage a varied caseload of Child in Need, Children in Need of Protection, Public Law Outline, and care proceedings, focusing on children up to the age of 18. You will use a Motivational Interviewing approach where you will act in partnership with children and their families to achieve sustainable change and improved outcomes for children. You will be supported in this by a multi-disciplinary team that includes adult mental health workers, drug and alcohol recovery workers, and adult domestic abuse workers. This is an exciting and creative time to join us in Family Safeguarding, and we welcome applications from a diverse range of workers to enhance our existing workforce.
We currently have vacancies in our teams based at Stanton House in Huntingdon, Fawcett House in Cambridge, Noble House in Ely, and Awdry House in Wisbech. Please note the Council is currently undergoing an accommodation improvement programme that will result in some office moves over the next 12-18 months, and the Huntingdon and Ely teams will operate from a different location within the County. In most cases, the new location will be close to the current one, but the Recruiting Manager will discuss this with you if you are selected for interview.
If this sounds like an environment where you would thrive, we would love to hear from you! For more information, call Nathalie on 01223 475920 or email joinus@cambridgeshire.gov.uk.
This is a rolling campaign and we check applications daily, don't wait to apply!
