The Senior Operations Manager should act as a champion and advocate for England, building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships internally and externally, to support DofE’s strategic ambition, whilst actively promoting the DofE values and behaviours framework, to create a positive team culture across England.
The role will involve considerable cross team working within the Operations Directorate and will require a clear and confident understanding of the internal processes, resources and tools which underpin consistent and high-quality operational delivery.
The role will involve actively promoting and embodying the DofE values (I am empowering, I am Inclusive, I have integrity, I am dynamic) internally and externally helping create and maintain a positive DofE culture and behaviour.
The role will be field based with the post-holder based at home and travelling throughout England as required to support operations teams. The role will also require regular travel to other parts of the UK.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Operations Manager to develop managers across a geographically dispersed team.
We are looking for someone who is organised and has experience of successfully managing multiple projects and a diverse workload, preferably in a third sector context.
You will be someone who can juggle multiple priorities and excel in communicating verbally and in writing, equally comfortable with writing project reports and delivering presentations to stakeholders.
You will be a motivated self-starter, who can identify issues and develop workable solutions alongside key stakeholders.
You will have experience in managing projects and implementing change, ideally with first-hand experience in operational delivery and support.
We are looking for an individual that is passionate about ensuring high quality client management, to achieve positive outcomes for all young people involved with the DofE.
