We are looking to recruit a Tax Senior. As a Tax Senior you will work closely with the Private Client tax team and Client Relationship Managers, assisting in the preparation of personal and business tax returns. We are flexible on location within Stirling. The Tax Senior will be responsible for (but not limited to): Managing a portfolio of clients Preparing Partnership Tax Returns for a varied portfolio of businesses Processing Tax Return information and preparing Self-Assessment Tax Returns for a varied portfolio of clients including trusts. Dealing with loss relief claims, pension charges and capital gains tax reliefs Completion of CGT 60 day returns for residential property disposals Liaising with clients and HM Revenue & Customs in relation to basic tax and national insurance queries Checking statements of account, repayments, payments and dealing with clients queries regarding these Assisting the tax teams with general tax administration duties Provide general support to the wider tax team with their day to day tasks, as required, including identifying and drafting tax advisory assignments such as Capital Gains Tax planning, Inheritance Tax and Succession planning etc. Reviewing simple tax returns prepared by tax assistants. Plan, schedule and delegate work to Tax Assistants and students, including developing staff and providing feedback. Provide support to Tax Manager/Senior Tax Manager, who in turn are managing the team, by liaising with clients, colleagues and HMRC. About You: The successful candidate will ideally be ATT/CIOT qualified or near to completion (or experience equivalent) A leader of your work and your professional learning Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively impact and influence others Relevant experience in this or a similar role is preferred Positive 'can-do' attitude A willingness to develop their tax knowledge.
