Band 5 Emergency Department Registered Nurse.
Reporting to Senior sister/Charge nurse.
Based at Queen Elizabeth Mother Hospital in Margate Kent.
Main duties of the job
To provide effective patient care whilst working as a member of the nursing team across East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. To ensure the maintenance of high standards of patient care in response to service need.
The post will require the holder to work on other sites within East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust, in order to meet service requirements and to ensure that staff maintain and develop their skills.

Qualifications
* NMC Level 1 or Level 15 Registered Nurse
* Mentor Qualification or ENB 998
* Completion of Preceptorship
Skills and experience
* Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to develop working relationships with others

* Well structured patient assessment
* NMC Code of Conduct or HCPC Standards of Conduct
* Awareness of national access standards affecting ED Patients
* Previous experience at Band 5 within specialty.
* Understanding of national access targets regarding ED patients

The ability to converse easily and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for all customer-facing roles.
Most positions require a Disclosure and Barring check and will be exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Posts working regularly or unsupervised with children or vulnerable adults require an enhanced check.
