We are looking for a QA Engineer with 1-2 years of commercial experience to join the growing in-house development team. This is a key role where you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of mission-critical systems while collaborating with developers to maintain high coding standards.
This is a full-time, 100% office-based role at our headquarters in Snodland, Kent. Unfortunately, remote or hybrid working is not available, as we believe in close collaboration and teamwork within our office environment.

The Role:
As a QA Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the quality of our web applications. You will work closely with developers to test, debug, and improve software performance, ensuring that all features meet high standards before deployment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Collaborating with the development team to ensure the testability of new features and updates.
* Conducting code reviews to maintain high coding standards and identify potential bugs.
* Developing and executing test plans for system functionality, performance, and security.
* Writing and maintaining unit tests to validate application functionality.
* Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs to ensure prompt resolution.
* Implementing QA processes to improve software reliability and performance.
* Analysing test results to provide insights and recommendations.
* Maintaining documentation of testing procedures and best practices.
About You:
To excel in this role, you must have:
* 1-2 years of commercial experience as a QA Engineer.
* Strong knowledge of PHP, including frameworks such as CakePHP or Laravel.
* Experience with unit testing frameworks like PHPUnit.
* A deep understanding of automated testing methodologies.
* Proficiency in code reviews, identifying errors, inefficiencies, and security vulnerabilities.
* Familiarity with MySQL and database schema validation.
* Experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
* A methodical and analytical approach to problem-solving and debugging.
* Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for cross-functional testing.
* Excellent communication skills to work effectively with developers and stakeholders.
* A passion for continuous improvement and staying updated with the latest QA tools and best practices.
