As a refrigeration and air conditioning engineer, you will be:
1. Covering south Essex, north Kent, east and central London.
2. Providing service, maintenance, and repairs on air conditioning and refrigeration (60-70% refrigeration).
3. Working on splits, multi splits, VRV and VRF systems, as well as cold rooms, walk-in fridges and freezers, and ice machines.
4. Working with fish and produce markets in the city, as well as meat and poultry suppliers in the area.
Skills Needed to be a refrigeration engineer and air conditioning engineer:
1. Experience in service and maintenance on refrigeration equipment; experience on the air conditioning side is not as critical.
2. F Gas Certificate and NVQ level 2 in refrigeration.
3. Living in south Essex, north Kent, or around the east London area is necessary to access the city.
4. Any experience dealing with panels and building cold rooms would be a significant advantage.
Salary and Benefits of a refrigeration engineer:
1. £35,000 - £50,000 basic salary depending on experience and level.
2. Travel pay, call-out rota, and overtime.
3. Van, phone, fuel card, and uniform provided.
4. 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.
5. Overtime, call-out rota, and company benefits.
6. Extra payments for working on Christmas or New Year bank holidays.
