What You Will Be Doing As our Business Development & Commercialisation Manager, you’ll be the linchpin that connects market strategy with technical innovation. Your role will bridge the gap between our breakthrough product and the market, ensuring that every pilot, customer engagement, and regulatory hurdle propels us closer to a fully commercialised solution. No two days will look the same, and your work will be instrumental in driving Anzen forward. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Demand Generation & Market Validation: Engage with potential customers, industry stakeholders, and early adopters to understand their needs and gather actionable feedback. Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including pilot testing and evaluations, to on-board early adopters, and validate our product’s market fit. Create compelling, in-depth case studies and success stories that showcase our product’s impact in real-world scenarios. Monitor and ensure customer success by delivering exceptional support and gathering feedback for continuous improvement. Pilot Site Survey & Project Management: Survey and assess pilot and customer sites to build an in-house log of target homes, demographics, and other key metrics, establishing a foundation for effective market segmentation. Define and frame pilot KPIs to measure performance and success throughout the pilot phase. Manage the pilot projects from the initial site visit through installation and post-project support, ensuring a seamless and effective process. Relay field insights and improvement opportunities to the technical team, continuously refining the pilot process and product integration. Market Engagement & Partnership Building: Identify and nurture strategic partnerships with architects, contractors, building control bodies, MEP consultants, and developers and pursue strategic partnerships to enable go-to-market strategies. Monitor market trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes to continuously optimize our approach. Represent Anzen at industry events, showcasing our mission and innovation. Internal Collaboration & Technical Liaison: Work closely with our engineering and product teams to ensure that customer and regulatory requirements are seamlessly integrated into our product development. Provide regular updates and insights to the co-founders and product management on market feedback, competition, and progress to inform technology roadmap and product-market strategies. Drive cross-functional projects that align technical innovation with commercial objectives, ensuring a unified approach to market entry. Your Background Education & Experience: A degree in engineering (preferably with a focus on heating systems) or a related technical field; an architectural background is also welcome. 3 to 5 years experience in project management, commercial management, business development, product management, or a related role, ideally within the UK construction or energy sectors. Technical Acumen: In-depth understanding of heating systems, energy efficiency, and the regulatory landscape (building controls, government regulations, installation infrastructure). Proven ability to assess pilot sites, manage technical projects, and translate complex technical details into commercial value propositions. Key Skills: Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration. A proactive, can-do attitude with a passion for sustainable technology and climate action. Proficient in CRM and task management tools (e.g., HubSpot, Notion).
