SENIOR ODP / DEPUTY SISTER – BAND 6 Colorectal

The Theatres and Anaesthetic Directorate are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Senior ODP / Deputy Sister (Band 6) to support the Colorectal team within Main Theatres at Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
We currently have a vacancy for a committed and enthusiastic individual to manage an established team in delivering high quality care that is rapidly adapting to meet the needs of a diverse local population.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide skilled specialist assistance in the delivery of high quality, cost effective patient care throughout the Operating Department.
2. Participate as an integral member of the theatre team giving leadership and guidance to less experienced staff.
3. Participate in the Theatre Co-ordinator rota when required.
Successful applicants should have previous experience in leading Service Colorectal within Theatres, good communication skills and enjoy working in a swiftly changing and challenging environment. You will be required to work as part of a motivated team as well as being able to work on your own initiative. Main Theatres operates a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week service and staff are expected to work nights and weekends.
