Site Name: UK - Hertfordshire - Ware Posted Date: Feb 28 2025 The Engineering function at the GSK Ware manufacturing site is responsible for the provision of technical expertise to support the manufacturing, automation, and controls systems for all production operations ( ensuring safety, quality and production targets are achieved). We are looking for an enthusiastic Engineering Planner to join our team. Reporting into an Engineering function, you will be responsible for coordinating both routine and non-routine maintenance activities by liaising with Engineering and Production teams to determine maintenance schedules. You will also ensure that Engineering Compliance and SAP PM data is maintained in line with site quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate planned and non-routine work activities into agreed long and short-term schedules. Communicate plans to Engineering and Production teams. Highlight resource issues against schedules. Monitor and manage notifications and work orders in aligned work centers. Enable the increase in trade efficiency by effective campaigning and aligning work activity. Actively seek to improve ways of working and utilise best practice. Ensure the aligned value stream carries out Statutory Insurance inspections to the required schedule. Interface with Engineering stores and users of Engineering Stores to ensure that stock levels are dynamic and maintained in line with planning requirements. Generate work packs for timely issue to the trade teams to manage. Reconcile work orders to identify schedule adherence issues. Actively participate in shutdown planning. Identify SAP Engineering data discrepancies and manage corrections using the data maintenance process (DM). Track and report work order reviews. Attach supplementary documents to work orders within the SAP system and raise non-routine notifications as required. Distribute PM deviations where necessary to the allocated SME. Collaborate with Engineering Compliance to sustain a good PM data compliance score. Manage service visit planning including purchasing information and downtime requests. About You: This role would suit a motivated person who has an engineering background obtained within a sophisticated GMP environment. It is imperative in this role that you have good attention to detail, experience with quality records, ability to follow procedures, and a desire to improve systems and processes. You will also have the ability to plan and prioritise, escalate when required, build relationships, and manage complexity. You will be focused on providing solutions, continuous improvement, and ideally you will have experience acquired from working in a highly regulated manufacturing-based industry. About the Ware Site: We are co-located with our R&D colleagues and recently opened a new, state-of-the-art oral solid dose facility at Ware. At this location our scientists, technicians and engineers (from R&D and Global Supply Chain - GSC) work collaboratively together (using the latest technologies) to rapidly knowledge transfer and deliver GSK's most innovative, medicines faster and more efficiently. On site we produce over 60 million respiratory inhalers each year with growing demand in future years. The site also processes Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) for use both on site and other manufacturing sites in our network. CLOSING DATE for applications: Friday 14th of March 2025 (COB).
