We have a new opportunity for an IT Support Technician to join a thriving organisation that provides integrated geoscience services globally, becoming part of their head office team, conveniently located near Conwy. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of tasks to ensure the seamless operation of IT systems and provide technical support to end-users. You will play a key role in upgrading and maintaining devices, assisting with user onboarding, and providing day-to-day IT support. As the IT Support Technician, you will be: Re-imaging Laptops/Desktops to Windows 11, ensuring systems are updated and fully functional Upgrading hardware (RAM, hard disk drives, and firmware) to improve system performance and capacity Assisting users with OneDrive to transfer data and ensuring a smooth transition to cloud storage solutions Installing software and assisting with onboarding users from an IT standpoint, ensuring systems are ready for use Supporting room/desk moves from an IT perspective, ensuring that all devices are correctly set up and connected Providing day-to-day general IT support to staff, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring minimal downtime Collaborating with the IT Manager to create and review IT policies and procedures To be considered for the IT Support Technician role, you will need: Proven experience in IT support or a similar role Strong knowledge of Windows 11, hardware upgrades, and general system troubleshooting Familiarity with OneDrive and cloud-based data management Experience in assisting with IT onboarding and device setup Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities effectively A proactive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to assist with various IT-related tasks This is a full-time, temporary role with potential to become permanent, offering a competitive pay rate of £13.50 - £15.00 per hour, based at the company's head office near Conwy. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
