The Opportunity
We are seeking an energetic and people-focused individual to join our team as a Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Lead. This role requires a suitably competent person to provide legally compliant advice, guidance, and support to our project. You will inspire, motivate, and guide a complex, multi-organisational project team to deliver an industry-leading HSW culture and level of performance.
You will work at a strategic level, are client-facing, and expound the required HSW behaviours within your work. Motivate and inspire a diverse group of people and workstreams, and build and manage a team of HSW team reports. Demonstrating experience and competence in strategic HSW risk management development and delivery in complex, multi-organisational projects at an SLT leadership level.
Developing and implementing effective HSW management systems & processes; HSW training and information; driving a proactive safety culture and initiating behavioural safety, stress, fatigue management, and other wellbeing and human factors approaches. You will be required to lead on the investigation of incidents, ensuring HSW incident and ill health reports, notifications, and root cause analysis are conducted and HSW (incl CDM) performance monitoring, assurance and reporting is delivered.
Is this role right for you?
Ideally, you will have experience in some or all of the following:
* Demonstrable experience in strategic HSW risk management development and delivery in complex, multi-contractor projects at an SLT leadership level.
* Competence in CDM management and wider occupational HSW from either Client or Principal Contractor/Contractor or Designer/Principal Designer perspective.
* Experience in developing and implementing safety culture, behavioural safety programs, and fatigue management and other wellbeing approaches.
* Trained trainer with competence in HSW training development and delivery.
* Incident investigation and root cause analysis.
* HSW (including CDM) performance monitoring, assurance, and reporting.
* Experience in any of the following industries/work environments would be useful: Railway, Highways, utilities, and event management and personal security.
* You will need to be present in the London Office.

* NIBOSH Diploma
* ISOH membership
