Our night shift pattern is 21:15 - 08:15 (10 hrs) with a 1-hour break. Please note that successful candidates will not be working nights for a long period (3-4 months while they understand our systems). Start Date: ASAP Rate of Pay: £27 per hour (umbrella) Must hold a Valid Full UK Driver’s License Contact: Cameron McCoy – (phone number removed) / What You’ll Be Doing: Join our team as a Mental Health Practitioner and play a key role in supporting individuals in crisis. In this role, you will: Offer interventions, advice, and support over the phone and conduct face-to-face crisis assessments in various settings. Ensure service users receive the most appropriate care following triage and assessment, referring them to the right mental health provision or signposting them to relevant services. Deliver intensive community-based treatment and support services as an alternative to inpatient admission. Gatekeep inpatient mental health unit admissions and support inpatient discharge planning. Plan, implement, and evaluate care programs for clients in crisis with acute mental health issues in the community. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff. Collaborate closely with carers, statutory and non-statutory services, emergency services, and third-sector organizations. Work alongside the Single Point of Access service to respond rapidly to mental health crises and reduce unnecessary A&E presentations. Requirements & Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: Current and valid NMC registration. Proven experience within a Crisis Team or Psych Liaison service. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. A valid full UK driver’s license (essential for this role). Working Hours & Contract Duration: This role offers a flexible working schedule with shift patterns covering both days and nights.
