Reports to: RPCS Care Coordinator
We are looking for enthusiastic dedicated health-care workers to join our team, providing care at home in our local catchment area. In this role you will make a lasting difference to the lives of people through care that will have a positive impact on the patient, and the community for many years to come.

Main duties of the job
As a palliative care provider, we reduce pain symptoms and discomfort for patients, and support their welfare with an individually agreed plan, at a difficult time in their lives.

The Hospice of St Francis is a charity which helps 2,000 local people and their families, in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, to live their precious lives well.
Improving symptoms, achieving personal goals and helping them to feel safe.
Defined by each persons need, our free care for people managing, or recovering from, serious illness has many forms care at the Hospice, at Home, or in our Health and Wellbeing Centre which offers courses, workshops, clinics and therapies.
Based in beautiful surroundings just outside Berkhamsted, were also here for family, friends and carers.
We offer advice for those worried about a loved one which could mean recommending group activities, supporting children through a close relatives illness or providing practical support and advice when someone special is no longer here.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Care certificate / NVQ qualified level 2
2. Competence to deliver direct and intimate personal care.
3. Able to work independently, and as part of a team
4. Excellent listening and communication skills
5. Min of 3 years previous experience in an equivalent role.
6. Shared values, discretion, respect and a passion for caring for others is essential
7. A car driver, with access to a car
8. Please note the successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced level DBS check.
