Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our specialist SEN school in Oldham. This is a full-time role supporting a student with complex SEN needs on a one-to-one basis.
About the Role:
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide personalised support to help a student engage with their learning and develop independence. You will work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to implement tailored strategies that meet the child’s individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to a student with complex SEN needs in and outside the classroom.
Implement learning strategies and behaviour management techniques to support engagement and progress.
Assist with personal care and emotional regulation, where necessary.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to create a supportive learning environment.
Monitor and record the student’s progress, adapting support as needed.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with complex SEN needs (desirable).
Knowledge of Team Teach or other positive behaviour management strategies (desirable).
A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to supporting the well-being and development of children with SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
