About the Role:
The Operational Trainer will support, oversee and coordinate the training delivery, administration, and onboarding end to end for Industrial operations Colleagues within the Halstead Plant, while ensuring the deployment of statutory & training solutions in line with Ferrero operations plan. They perform daily activity in line with L&D agenda under supervision and guidance. The role will be responsible for partnering with the operations team and building relationships with operations managers.
The Operational Trainer will implement and coordinate the further development of training offers locally, and employee development tools while managing the administration of training records and training materials for both permanent and temporary workers. They will offer cross functional support and promote safety and quality.
Main Responsibilities:
As the Operational Trainer, you will lead and manage the delivery of training programs for both industrial operations employees and temporary workers, fostering a positive safety culture. You will conduct hands-on training for operative colleagues, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles. Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), you will organize machine training sessions and work closely with HR and Operations teams to ensure the successful onboarding of new employees and temporary workers.
You will provide comprehensive support throughout the onboarding process, ensuring a best-in-class experience for new hires. This includes organizing and managing the logistics of the induction program, ensuring it is fit for purpose and updated as needed. You will complete and sign off on documentation to designated competency levels, maintaining accurate records, and utilize skills gap matrices to ensure coverage of skills per line on each shift.
Working with Section Leaders, you will create and implement development plans for team members. Additionally, you will conduct mock-up training documentation audits and ad hoc training audits to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Who we are looking for:
We are in search of an adept Operational Trainer who excels in the use of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in training, ideally within the consumer goods sector, and should have substantial experience in advancing the training initiatives in manufacturing settings. The ability to deliver and critically evaluate training effectiveness is crucial. We require a stellar communicator, capable of forging trust-based relationships and adept at both receiving and conveying information effectively. The successful candidate will be analytical, tech-savvy, and proficient in utilizing digital tools to enhance training outcomes. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory, complemented by strong active listening skills.
