Commercial Gas Engineer\nLocation: Mobile role around Liverpool and the North West\n Responsible to: Gas & Mechanical Manager\nCompetitive salary, van, fuel card, on call allowance, door to door payments\n \nOur client, a well known FM maintenance contractor are looking for a dedicated and experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their Gas & Mechanical Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that prioritises quality service and customer satisfaction.\n \nRole Summary:\n As Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for attending customer sites to carry out routine planned maintenance, repairs, and call-outs, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard. You will work closely with the management team to deliver excellent service in accordance to the SLA’s and KPI’s on the contract.\n \nKey Responsibilities:\n\nProvide a first-class service to customers, going above and beyond whenever necessary.\nMaintain a trusted and professional relationship with customers, ensuring satisfaction.\nCarry out planned maintenance, repairs, and call-outs for Gas & Plumbing services.\nTroubleshoot and find solutions to ensure first-time fixes on-site.\nCommunicate effectively with planners, keeping them updated on job progress and ensuring timely completion.\nEnsure all areas, including plant rooms and workspaces, are left clean and tidy.\nAccurately record data and complete compliance paperwork using Job Logic.\nObtain quotes from suppliers to ensure accurate material costing within 72 hours.\nParticipate in the call-out rota to provide out-of-hours support for reactive call-outs.\nSupport team development and continuous improvement of working methods.\nAdhere to all Health & Safety requirements and regulations on-site. \nSmart Targets:\n\nMaintain boilers and plant to ensure gas compliance.\nAchieve an 80% first-time fix rate on breakdowns/call-outs.\nProduce quotes within 24 hours of being on-site to ensure a 72-hour turnaround time for the quoting team.\nCapture videos for all call-outs, repairs, and a sample of PPM visits.\nMaintain high standards for paperwork and documentation, ensuring clarity for invoicing. \nPerson Specification:\n \nQualifications & Experience:\n\nMinimum of 3 years' experience as a Gas & Plumbing Engineer.\nGas Safe registered.\nRelevant gas qualifications (e.g., COCN1, CODNCO1).\nIPAF/PASMA card (or willingness to work at heights).\nStrong fault-finding and service work background.\nIT literate (Basic to Intermediate level with Microsoft packages).\nFull UK Driving License. \nKnowledge & Skills:\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nExcellent problem-solving abilities.\nExceptional customer service skills and ability to build relationships.\nEffective time management skills. \nPersonal Attributes:\n\nSelf-motivated and versatile.\nProactive with a "can-do" attitude.\nCommitted to positive risk management in the workplace.\nStrong team player who can work collaboratively.\nTakes pride in their work and is detail-oriented
