Applications are invited for a Specialty Doctor post (SAS) in Radiology at Croydon University Hospital. The post will be for a period of 12 months (and will be converted to permanent if the post holder is suitable). The post holder will be expected to support the general radiology workload within the department including ultrasound, CT and plain film reporting. Specialty doctors will also be encouraged to report MRI and pursue a subspecialty interest and can be guided through this.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team of 16 consultants, 6 specialty doctors and up to 4 registrars working in a dynamic, friendly atmosphere. There is opportunity to undergo training with a support activity session included in the job plan. Specialty doctors are encouraged to attend MDTs and in-house teaching is available. Consultants are approachable and happy to support specialty doctors with any diagnostic queries. We understand the importance of developing individual radiologists including CESR application and research opportunity.
There is no on call commitment. Weekend work or extended day working are possible if time off during the week is required. All full time posts are remunerated at 10 PAs. Part-timers are remunerated pro rata. The salary scale for this post is £59,175 to £95,400 per annum depending on the number of years of post-training radiology experience. There will be an additional Outer London Weighting allowance.
