Job summary This role is a new consultant post within the Emergency Department; the appointed candidate(s) will join an existing team of 16 senior medical staff including Consultants & SAS doctors. On joining the department,you will become part of a well-established, friendly team and will help us continue to drive forward improvements in the service that we provide to our patients. As a senior member of the team, you will become a key part in the delivery of training and supervision to our junior colleagues. We are a large District General Emergency department seeing a broad spectrum of patients andpresentations. We have a collocated Urgent Treatment Centre for minor illness and injury management aswell as an observation ward supported by 24 hour mental health liaison service. We have a large team ofmedical, nursing and allied health care professionals providing a high quality efficient service for our patients allowing us to have flexibility in avoiding admissions where possible. We have a strong collaborative relationship with Acute Medicine, working together to improve quality and flow for patient care at the front door.
