A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am an elderly lady living in Barry. I try to lead an active lifestyle; The activities I enjoy are, singing, walking, going to the theatre and the cinema. I enjoy eating out for lunch and looking in the shops. Most communication that is a task is spoken through song or sign language and we have very holistic approach towards my care and support. I can get tired so there are days where I am happy looking at my photographs and cards that I have collected over the years.
I love looking at art books and flower arranging. I have a hearing impairment and have mid- late Alzheimer’s. During the middle stage of Alzheimer’s, the dementia symptoms are more pronounced. Sometimes I can demonstrate some behavioural changes, including suspiciousness especially with people I do not know. I can also experience confusion about where I am or what day it is.
