Job summary
The Defence School of Aeronautical Engineering (DSAE) is part of the Defence College of Technical Training and is responsible for the design, delivery and assurance of Aeronautical Engineering delivered to the three services. This position is a Course Design role for Training Standards and Design Organisation within DSAE at MOD Lyneham. The role will place you as the fifth member of the Course Design team which is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the training delivered to the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Aviation Trainees at the School of Army Aeronautical Engineering.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
Job description
1. Liaising with Defence School of Aeronautical Engineering on the development of the training requirements.
2. Lead and manage the design, review and maintenance of allocated courses and other aviation related projects.
3. Production & maintenance of Course Documentation Sets in accordance with the Defence Systems Approach to Training Quality Standard.
4. Liaise with Assurance team on the production of Assessment Specifications and assessment methods.
5. Liaise with the School of Army Aeronautical Engineering Training Delivery Department to establish the training media requirements to meet the course objectives and to identify any Residual Training Gaps.
6. Maintain configuration control of mandated training documentation produced by the Training Delivery Department in support of course Training Objectives.
7. Conduct scheduled reviews of current Course Documentation Sets to maintain currency of content with reference to technologies and regulatory requirements.
Person specification
Essential. Worked in an engineering environment, with a recognised Apprenticeship or alternative period of experience.
Desirable. Proven experience in Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) model or Instructional Design using the Analyse, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite.�

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working.� This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments.
