We are currently recruiting dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants to work with students who have Social Emotional and Mental Health needs in the Portsmouth area. The successful TA will be committed to providing exceptional education and support for students aged 11-16 with SEMH and Complex Emotional Needs. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to our students, creating a nurturing and supportive environment where they can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with teaching staff to implement individualised educational programs tailored to the needs of the students. Provide one-on-one support and assistance to students, helping them to manage their emotions, develop coping strategies, and build positive relationships. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes emotional well-being and academic success. Engage students in therapeutic interventions and activities designed to enhance their social and emotional skills. Demonstrate enthusiasm, energy, and empathy while working with students facing various emotional challenges.
