This role will oversee the day:to:day operations, maintenance and health and safety of Salisbury City Councils facilities and operational teams. This involves ensuring proactive and reactive health and safety compliance, developing policies, and maintaining an efficient, safe, and accessible environment across all Council team, properties and locations. Additionally, the postholder will monitor and plan for future facilities needs while managing supplier relationships and maintenance schedules.
Role and Person Specifications:
We are looking for someone with previous experience who either holds a NEBOSH health and safety qualification or similar or is willing to attain one within the first year in post, this will be a contractual requirement.
* Previous experience in a management or supervisory role.
* Demonstrated experience in proactive health and safety management and compliance.
* Experience in policy development
* Experience with staff management, performance reviews, and development.
* Experience in overseeing investigations and recommending outcomes.
* Familiarity with facilities management principles, maintenance procedures, and asset management.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with facilities management software.
* Full driving licence
