Salary: ££39,073.33 - £61,116.53 (inclusive of 35% holiday bonus for 33 days per year; 25 vacation and 8 bank holidays)

Key Responsibilities:

11. Process owner of a series of production processes for various components and assemblies
12. Managing the implementation of major capital projects
13. Initiate and implement cost improvement actions
14. Devise and implement efficiency improvements
15. Monitor compliance to necessary standards; GIS, TS16949, ISO14001 & ISO18001
16. Drive Reliability and Maintainability philosophy from enquiry to installation
17. Environmental compliance
18. Identify and implement innovative solutions to engineering issues
19. Effectively manage contractors in all aspects of projects, especially health and safety and project control
20. Integrate with the existing Engineering team and work with internal and external parties to achieve project deliverables
21. Drive continuous improvement of business objectives
22. Effective communication outside and inside the organisation including Trade Union
Qualifications and Experience:
23. Degree in automotive or mechanical engineering - Essential
24. Experience in conventional machining including turning, drilling, spline rolling and diameter grinding is essential
25. General computer literacy and familiar with Excel, Word or equivalent and project management software (eg Project)
26. A can-do attitude is essential together with the ability to work in a challenging environment and overcome complex problems to meet demanding deadlines
27. Resilience is essential. Candidates must be able to deal with difficult problems whilst maintaining a positive attitude.
28. Analytical mindset, with some data science skills would be beneficial.
29. Excellent people and communication skills
30. Highly motivated and self-driven
31. Ability to direct teams
32. Experience of problem-solving techniques and tools such as 8Ds, 5 Why, 6-Sigma
33. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
34. Lean manufacturing techniques

Monday to Thursday 7:00-15:30 and Friday 7:00-12:30
