Opportunity to join an established manufacturing business that continues to invest in its South Wales facility. Your role will be initially split 80% new business and 20% existing customer base.

Key Responsibilities as the Business Development Manager:
1. Seeking new business opportunities and managing existing pipeline to produce quotations and translate those into sales.
2. Generating and following up on leads within the business CRM.
3. Logging customer interactions and new opportunities within the business CRM.
4. Conducting data analysis on KPIs linked to your role and communicating appropriately in presentation/report format to update key stakeholders.
5. Communicating cross-functionally with technical and engineering teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
6. Developing and building strong working relationships with internal teams such as customer service, marketing, production, and engineering.
7. Attendance at industrial tradeshows as required.
8. Travel both within the UK and Europe to support business growth.
What you need to apply:
1. Experience of working in a sales and/or new business development role in a technical or manufacturing environment.
2. The ability to generate and close new business opportunities.
3. A degree level qualification in either an engineering discipline (mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, etc.) or a commercial degree (business studies, etc.) is desirable.
4. Experience of selling into sectors such as packaging, food, heavy industrial manufacturing, etc.
5. Experience with a CRM system such as Salesforce.
6. A full driver's license and the ability to travel within the UK and Europe as needed.

Your package
A salary of £50,000-£60,000 (Dependent on experience) + pension, potential annual bonus, and 25 days holiday plus the bank holidays.
Your working hours
Core working hours would be Monday to Thursday, 8am - 4:30pm; Fridays, 8am - 2:30pm, although some flexibility is needed around travel requirements of the role.
