Job summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced GP Partner/Salaried GP, with a specialist interest in Womens Health, to join our established team here at Lawton House Surgery. We provide the full range of NHS General Medical Services to our registered patients, and our aim is to provide personalised, quality healthcare. As a GP Partner/Salaried GP, you will be supported by, and work with, a diverse multi-skilled professional team of clinical and non-clinical friendly staff, providing high quality, person-centred, holistic clinical care to patients registered within the practice.
Main duties of the job
As a GP Partner/Salaried GP you will be expected to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, and visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, doing triage, and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. Your weekdays will include working Mondays and Fridays. Furthermore, you will be expected to undertake duty doctor sessions in proportion to your sessions at the practice.

Lawton House Surgery is a well-established and respected practice in the heart of Congleton with approximately 13,000 patients. We are part of the Congleton and Holmes Chapel PCN and work closely with the NHS Cheshire and Merseyside ICB. We have 4 GP partners all with multiple roles. We also have a Good rating with the CQC. We have 3 salaried GPs, 4 Practice Nurses and 1 HCA. In addition, we have wider admin and reception teams using their experience to provide workflow optimisation and efficiencies to release clinical time, all supported by an experienced forward thinking Practice Management team.

Job responsibilities
As a 6-8 session, GP Partner/Salaried GP, you will have NHS pension enrolment, a robust induction and ongoing development opportunities, thorough probationary reviews and feedback, opportunities to develop processes/projects and support training, administrative support, and onsite parking. We have a fully equipped purpose-built premises with a substantial extension and refurbishment; and a local cottage hospital with a comprehensive OPD, physiotherapy, X-ray and minor injuries unit.
Person Specification
Experience Essential
* We are an EMIS Web practice, utilising a variety of digital technologies (Accrx, MyBotGP). With a progressive approach to the Modern General Practice Model. We work closely with our ARRS staff through the PCN and have a high standard of care for our community and Care Home patients. We would like to enlist an innovative individual with a desire to improve the practice.
Desirable
* We are looking for committed candidates with a good work ethic.
* Experience of working in Primary care or a GP practice would be a plus.
Qualifications Essential
* Hold full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) on the General Practitioner Register
* MRCGP
* Be included on the NHS England medical performers list
* Professional standing - Not be prohibited from providing services due to regulation breaches (e.g., NHS Performers Lists Regulations). Not be suspended from practice by the NHS or from the GMCs list of medical practitioners. Not be subject to any interim suspension orders from the GMC under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983.
* Have a legal right to work in the UK
* Disclosure and Barring Service Check - This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975
