SEN Early Years Assistant Job Title: Special Educational Needs Assistant within Early Years Provision Location: Hounslow, London Grade: NJC outer London Scale 4 (point 7) (fte £29,346 /pro-rota (actual) £22,791 per annum) Contract Type: Temp to Perm Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:45 - 3:45 pm, Term-time only An Ofsted rated 'good' primary school in Hounslow are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our thriving Early Years Team. As an Early Years SEND specialist, you will work with children aged 2 to 5 years in a vibrant, creative and welcoming environment. Your role would be to support specific children with special educational needs. This support will consist of working with a variety of children or 1:1 support, encouraging them to participate during unstructured learning times and engaging them in planned learning activities as directed by the class teacher or other relevant staff such as therapists. Job Requirements: - Experience working with early years children (aged 2-5 years) with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) - Strong understanding of Early Years learning practices - Ability to establish positive working relationships with staff and pupils - Enthusiastic, energetic, and committed to providing high-quality education - Good spoken English, literacy, and numeracy skills - Proven experience of working effectively as part of a team - Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
