About the Company - MPI have a requirement for Assembly and Installation Fitters to work in Cambridge on various products for Land systems/deployable infrastructure.
About the Role - Basic hours 37 per week, Monday to Thursday (07:15 to 15:45) and Friday (07:15 to 12:15).
All applicants will need to hold current RTW in the UK status. Both security clearance and the RTW check will be carried out online by the Companies Vetting team; therefore, contact details for any successful applicants will need to be provided once they have been approved.
All applicants whose CVs are approved will be required to attend an onsite interview/site tour before being accepted. Overtime is currently available but cannot be guaranteed - approximately 10 hours a week and sometimes Saturday. Rates of pay: Basic PAYE £19.12 ph / Umbrella Limited £26.04 ph, Week overtime PAYE £28.68 ph / Umbrella Limited £39.04 ph. Contract is for a minimum of 6 Months.
Responsibilities
* To manufacture, assemble and build Clients specialist projects using engineering drawings and associated design data to meet business and customer expectations.
* To support the Production Managers and Team Leaders, ensuring that all Clients Land System projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standard.
* Take an active role in continuous improvements, including lean and 5S procedures.
* Ensure equipment and tooling required is identified to the line manager.
* Attend and support production meetings if required.
Qualifications - Apply if you have most of the following or equivalent:
* Mechanical, fitting or joining experience within automotive or heavy industry.
* Experience in drilling aluminium assemblies and components, along with installation of blind rivets using pneumatic rivet guns.
* Completed a City and Guilds Apprenticeship or equivalent in Vehicle Body Building, Mechanical Fitting or a Manufacturing and Assembly Qualification.
* Competent skills gained through training and experience and ability to communicate within a team.
* Understanding of policies and procedures required within a workshop environment.
* Understanding of production methods and processes.
* Competent understanding and ability to read engineering drawings and associated design data.
Pay range and compensation package - Basic PAYE £19.12 ph / Umbrella Limited £26.04 ph, Week overtime PAYE £28.68 ph / Umbrella Limited £39.04 ph. Contract is for a minimum of 6 Months.
