Based at the University Hospital of Wales Cardiff with weekly sessions worked at the Grange University Hospital Cwmbran, you will work as part of a team participating in the hearing screening of newborn babies. The post is for 36 hours per week. You will be required to work full time during the initial three week training period.
You will work a set rota that includes a 4 hour Saturday morning shift each week, in addition to two set days within the working week. A copy of the rota can be provided on request to ensure that you are able to commit to these working arrangements.
Main duties of the job
Duties include communicating with the parents throughout the process, baby handling, use of screening equipment and accurately recording clinical and test data relevant to the screening process, therefore, good communication skills and experience of using a computer are essential.

Although the base site will be at the University Hospital of Wales, you will also be required to work at the other South East Wales hospital sites on a regular basis and to run clinics in the community.
