I am looking for an experienced Asset Manager in the Midlands. This role is an exciting opportunity to join a respected developer and property company with deep regional ties, a strong reputation, and a proven track record of taking assets and maximising value.
This position offers the chance to work for an ambitious organisation that is making significant strides in revitalizing and reshaping retail spaces. Despite the complexities of the retail market, this property company has demonstrated resilience, creativity, and innovation, making them a standout player in the industry. Their forward-thinking approach has ensured continued success and growth, and they are now looking for an Asset Manager who can take their stock to the next level.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive asset performance through proactive leasing, tenant negotiations, and identifying new opportunities for development or redevelopment.
* Work closely with stakeholders, including tenants, investors, and local authorities, to ensure the portfolio’s assets are performing to their full potential.
* Lead on rent reviews, lease renewals, and other negotiations to optimize income streams and mitigate risks.
* Monitor market trends, identifying and adapting to changes in the retail landscape to maintain competitiveness and drive future success.
* Develop and implement long-term asset management strategies that align with both regional goals and wider corporate objectives.
Key Requirements:
* Extensive experience in asset management (preferably with the retail sector but this not a pre-requisite), with a strong understanding of market challenges and opportunities.
* Proven track record in managing complex property portfolios and delivering strong financial returns.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across all levels.
* A proactive and strategic mindset with a focus on innovation and long-term value creation.
* In-depth knowledge of commercial leases, property law, and financial modelling relevant to asset management.
You’d be joining a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where new ideas are encouraged, and success is celebrated to make a significant impact and be part of a business that is a staple of the Midlands property industry. Salary circa £60,000 - £75,000, with an ability consider track records that break this banding. Also offering an incentivised bonus scheme based on personal results. If you are an accomplished Asset Manager ready for a new role, this is an excellent opportunity to step up and drive real change.
