Purpose of Post:
To lead aid the introduction and continual operation of an exciting new business within AllServiceOne, the aftermarket division of Wrightbus. The successful candidate will join the set-up phase of the project as well as participating in the engine rebuild process. Donor engines will be delivered to the Bicester facility and will need to be stripped and diagnosed as well as the appropriate level of refurbishment decided and implemented. You will strip down engines, order parts and assist in the rebuild and test process.
Key Tasks (following set up):
1. Receipt of Donor engines to the facility.
2. Assist in the assessment of engines to determine their condition including strip down and component analysis.
3. Help define the level of rebuild required.
4. Ordering parts and organising the rebuild process from start to finish including relevant machining.
5. Participate in rebuilding engines to within defined tolerances, to ensure optimum operation.
6. Operation of a test rig, to evaluate all engines prior to dispatch.
7. Control of purchase and use of all parts used in the process.
8. Maintaining the Health and Safety of the division within the Bicester facility.
9. Organising return and potentially fitment of engines into customer vehicles.
10. Assist the Senior Engine Specialist in any additional tasks contributing to the successful operation of the division.

Education Attainments:
* A time served apprenticeship with a recognised company, NVQ level 3 & 4.
Job Experience:
Considerable experience in a bus/industrial engine field for a minimum of three years.
* Experience in an aftermarket role, specifically including engine and transmission rebuilds.
* Experience using diagnostic and fault finding equipment.
* Experience in root cause failure investigations.
Specialist Knowledge / Skills:
* Minimum five years experience of diesel engine rebuilding.
* Knowledge of parts and suppliers needed to build a secure supply chain.
* Knowledge of bus, commercial vehicle or automotive sectors.
* Knowledge of vehicle aftertreatment systems.
* General knowledge of vehicle electrical and pneumatic systems.
* Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
Disposition:
* Demonstrate their ability to work to high levels of accuracy within very strict deadlines.
* Ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing.
* Deal with information in a confidential manner and possesses good interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team.

* Experience developing and working with multiple engine manufacturers' equipment.

* Knowledge of Health & Safety at work legislation and requirements for safe working.
