An exciting opportunity has arisen for a person-centred, passionate HR professional to join our HR Advisory Team on a permanent basis.
Main duties of the job
This role provides a fantastic opportunity to support our services to deliver a high standard of care to our service users. You will provide professional advice and support to managers on a wide range of employment matters including employee relations issues, organisational change, terms and conditions of employment, management of attendance, performance management, equality and diversity, employment legislation and policy, and good people management practice. You will be expected to efficiently manage a caseload of employee relations and sickness cases. You will build good working relationships with service managers which enable you to support the development of their skills and teams.
Hybrid working is an option, with most team members spending 1-2 days per week working from home.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to degree standard, or equivalent experience
* Hold/working towards Associate Membership of the CIPD (Assoc CIPD) or equivalent experience
Experience
* Significant and relevant experience working in HR including acting in an advisory capacity
* Working without direct supervision
* Dealing with operational HR issues, advising managers and working with trade union representatives
Knowledge
* Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, employment legislation, and equal opportunities issues
Skills
* Good communication and organisational skills - able to meet deadlines and organise complex activities
* Experience of dealing with situations which may require the application of tact and diplomacy and that demonstrate a customer-focused, problem-solving approach
* IT literate
* Able to work on own initiative, with conflicting priorities and under pressure
* Ability to forge good working relationships with colleagues, in both senior and junior positions
Other
* There is a frequent requirement to travel extensively across the wide footprint of the Trust to attend meetings and events relevant to the role.
