Our client, a leading manufacturer in the Oldham area, is looking to recruit an experienced Sales Engineer/Estimator to join the business on a permanent basis due to continued growth.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience working within a similar role, managing client enquiries from estimating, technical discussions, bid management through to closing the sale.
Candidates must have experience with estimating fabricated product costs for various sectors including Nuclear, Defence, and Oil and Gas to be considered for the role given the nature of the work.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Responsibilities
1. Manage client enquiries from estimating, technical discussions, bid management through to closing the sale.
2. Coordinate with clients and other key stakeholders such as Purchasing, Planning, Production, and Shipping to ensure accurate and timely quotations are provided.
Qualifications & Requirements
1. Demonstrable experience in Sales Engineering/Estimation in a manufacturing environment.
2. Experienced in seeing quotations through to close of sale.
3. Working knowledge of fabrication in medium to heavy manufacturing.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Strong organisational and planning skills.
6. Strong leadership skills.
7. Ability to prioritise workload and manage work pressure.
