This is a key role within the education department, with responsibilities including budget setting, closing of accounts, employee budgets, budget monitoring, grant management, invoice processing, and purchasing of goods and services. The ALNIT is a very busy team, and the successful candidate will be expected to work to tight deadlines. It is expected that the successful candidate will use their own initiative and manage their workload accordingly. Although the post is predominately stand alone, it is part of a wider team of professionals including ALN caseworkers and designated co-ordinators, educational psychologists and specialist teachers. Applicants will have worked within a public sector finance environment and have a comprehensive understanding of budgets and finance and will have an analytical and solution focussed approach.
