Job Description
We're recruiting for a Finance Manager Accountant to join our Group Reporting team.
The FRC Non-Insurance Reporting team oversees the production of group and regulatory reports, as well as statutory financial statements for various Legal & General entities.
The main responsibility of this role includes generating and reviewing financial reports for legal entities, enhancing reporting procedures, and contributing significantly to the broader change initiatives within the team. What you'll be doing:
1. Manage IFRS reporting group reporting deliverables for assigned entities in a timely and efficient manner
2. It is crucial to document and execute financial reporting accurately, adhering to accounting standards and group accounting policies, while ensuring proper coordination and input from essential internal stakeholders
3. Lead the statutory audit and statutory financial statement processes for assigned entities, including provision of information and resolution of queries and ensuring all requirements are delivered to agreed quality levels and timelines
4. Responsibility for resolving reporting issues entails setting reporting standards and deadlines in agreement with clients, coupled with the effectivemunication and presentation of solutions and oues
5. Develop and maintain positive and constructive relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure deliverables are understood, planned, and delivered for integration into financial reporting processes
6. Adopt a proactive stance in spotting opportunities for process enhancement, both internally within your team and externally. Make certain that these ideas are brought up, deliberated, and given priority in the suitable forums
7. For assigned entities, maintain process and control documentation, updating as necessary in line with agreed standards and timelines
8. Act as a representative for the team on essential projects and new ventures. Offer guidance and expertise on financial reporting and related processes, aid in decision-making, and confirm that requirements are integrated into project plans. Document and establish reporting standards, processes, and controls, and manage the team following thepany's policies and procedures, including the Partnership Agreement, to consistently meet the team's business goals
Qualifications

9. A Qualified accountant
10. Good knowledge of current IFRS accounting standards and best practice reporting processes.
11. Previous experience of statutory accounts production preferred.
12. Ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple deliverables to the required timelines.
13. Ability to work with others to find solutions to process and accounting queries.
14. Experience in leading and implementing process improvements.
15. Ability to motivate others in order to meet team and individual targets, as well as developing the skills and capability of the team.
16. Good coaching skills and ability to lead by example.
