Mechanical / Hydraulic Engineer

Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with a small, dynamic team of engineers to develop systems for commercial, leisure, and shipping sectors of the Marine Industry.
2. Design and specification of hydraulic systems from producing schematics to 3D modelling and manufacturing drawings of manifolds and other components.
3. Produce documentation and calculations to support designs.
4. Modelling of hydraulic systems with Simcenter AMEsim for validation of systems.
5. Develop and test hydraulic systems.
6. Supplier selection and management.
7. Commissioning and technical support for vessels.
Requirements:
1. Higher education within a Fluid Power, Mechanical, Electrical, control systems or related field.
2. NFPC (or equivalent) Hydraulics Training (this could be provided for a suitable candidate).
3. Strong understanding of Industrial and Mobile hydraulic systems and components.
4. Understanding of Mechanical systems.
5. Experience with CAD design, preferably Siemens NX.
6. Experience in the creation of hydraulic schematics.
7. Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
8. Ability to work safely and effectively with hands-on tasks.
9. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
10. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
11. Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to cross-functional team members.
12. Willingness to travel.
Bonus Skills:
1. Experience with Simcenter AMEsim simulation software.
2. Knowledge of the marine industry, classification societies, and electrical systems or PLC systems.
3. EPlan ECAD experience.
4. Driving license and personal vehicle.
