We are a growing company with a real family feel, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and inspirational Accounts and Office Manager to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis (40 hours per week).
The Accounts and Office Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of both financial and administrative functions within the company. This dual role requires a highly organised and proactive individual who can balance financial management responsibilities with office administration.
Accounts Role (you must have knowledge and understanding of the below):
1. Payroll (Sage Package)
2. Processing Starters and Leavers
3. Processing Salaries
4. Logging period of leave and absence
5. Submitting figures to HMRC including payments
6. NEST Auto Enrolment (every 3 years)
7. Assist the Implementation and Managing of HR Documents/Procedures
8. Reconcile Creditors Ledger to Statements
9. Monitor Debtor Ledger and Chase Overdue Accounts
10. Enter Bank/Credit Card Transactions-Reconcile Statements
11. Preparing Monthly Management Accounts (Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, Profit/Loss)
12. Support MD with Cashflow Forecasts
13. Liaise External with Accountants
Office Manager:
1. Oversee the Day-to-Day office operations and ensure a well-organised work environment
2. Develop and implement Company Policies and Procedures
3. Provide executive support to the MD, including scheduling meetings and handling correspondence
4. Prepare reports and presentations
5. Supervise administrative and operational staff on a daily basis to ensure minimal down time and to work in a smart and efficient manner
6. Oversee work schedules, staff performance, and office/operational workload distribution
7. Monitor cost saving measures and resource optimisation
8. Monitoring of staff holidays and sickness
9. Carry out staff appraisals and development plans
10. Overseeing building and services contracts
Qualifications and Personal Attributes:
1. Must hold an AAT Level 4
2. Must have 5 Years experience of working in a similar role
3. Excellent Numerical Skills
4. Excellent verbal and communication skills
5. Ability to achieve desired results both individually and as a part of a team
6. Must have good personal and work presentation skills
7. You will have knowledge of Sage and Microsoft Office Suite
8. Good self-management skills, the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and have good time management whilst paying attention to detail
You will benefit from an excellent package including:
* Starting salary of £35,000 per year (review after 3-month probationary period)
* 33 days annual leave including statutory holidays
* Monday to Friday working pattern - 08:30 – 17:00 Hours less 30 minutes unpaid lunch break
