About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated, experienced, and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant primary school in Sheffield. As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting the teaching and learning process, working closely with class teachers to provide high-quality education for all pupils, especially those with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support teaching and learning within the classroom under the direction of the class teacher
* Deliver planned interventions to small groups and individuals, focusing on raising attainment and meeting the needs of diverse learners
* Take responsibility for planning, preparing, and evaluating learning activities for small groups
* Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and those who require additional support, ensuring that they can access the curriculum effectively
* Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher
* Assist in the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum, including literacy, numeracy, and foundation subjects
* Supervise and support children during playtimes, lunch breaks, and other school activities
* Actively contribute to a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Essential Criteria:
* HLTA qualification (or equivalent)
* Experience working in a primary school setting, with a good understanding of the National Curriculum
* Strong knowledge and understanding of SEN, including strategies to support children with additional learning needs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
* A proactive, flexible, and hardworking attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience in delivering interventions to support specific areas of the curriculum
