Vista Aircraft Maintenance provides a robust regional support network for Vista’s growing fleet, with one the leading base maintenance facilities in the world, taking care since 2004. • Support Hangar management by performing aircraft structural repair tasks in line with the aircraft repair data provided. • Installing, repairing, inspecting and replacing sheet metal components. • Accountable for the safe, on-time delivery of structural repairs. • Ensure that all repairs meet aviation safety guidelines and safely operate various sheet metal tools. • Ensure relevant repair documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner. • Undertake general mechanic duties/tasks in the absence of sheet metal/structures work. • Promote a ‘Just’ culture, adhere to company health & safety policies, and report all incidences and occurrences through the safety management system. • Complete detailed documentation of work carried out on aircraft. • Ensure that all calibrated equipment and tooling is safely stored, calibrated, labelled and recorded. • General housekeeping of shopfloors to maintain company standards. • Any other reasonable request from management in line with the Sheet Metal worker/Structures role. Essential: Have completed an Aeronautical Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent. Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the field of aviation maintenance, including at least 12 months’ practical experience in the specific area. Thorough understanding of Part 145 (and company MOE). Computer literate including use of Microsoft Office. Must be able and willing to undertake general Aviation Mechanic activities. Desirable: Full UK driving license. Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to understand work orders, work cards and refer to and use applicable maintenance data. Able to correctly removed, uninstalled and rejected parts. Understanding of personnel authorisations and limitations. Knowledge of safety management systems and ‘Just’ culture.
